Students read a statement and try to determine the emotion that best matches the speaker’s feelings. In this lesson, students share assumptions people have made about them and then teach others about the real them! 3 – Candy Corn Feelings It’s pretty hard to tell what’s under a mummy with all that wrap… and the same goes for assumptions! It’s hard to get to know people if we can’t look past our own assumptions about them. These are great for spreading kindness during bullying prevention month. We play balloon volleyball, naming kind acts each time the balloon is tapped and wrap up the lesson by making “ghost grams” for each other. In this lesson, students brainstorm all of the ways they can show kindness and say “boo” to bullying.
